Stainless Steel 439 is a ferritic stainless steel primarily made of iron, containing 17–18% chromium and small amounts of titanium to boost corrosion resistance. Its low carbon content enhances weldability and minimizes the risk of sensitization. In terms of mechanical properties, it provides moderate tensile strength, good ductility, and impressive resistance to oxidation and stress corrosion cracking.
