The Stainless Steel 317/317L Forged Fittings from Adam Stainless are made from molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel alloys. SS 317 features higher levels of chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–15%), and molybdenum (3–4%), which provide excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. On the other hand, SS 317L is the low-carbon variant, enhancing weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion. Both grades boast a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa, making them well-suited for tough conditions.
