Stainless Steel XM19 or Nitronic 50 is an iron-based corrosion-resistant alloy containing iron, 14–16% chromium, 7–9% nickel, 7–9% manganese, and trace amounts of silicon, sulfur, and carbon. The alloy has excellent mechanical properties such as tensile strength up to 105 ksi, high yield strength, resistance to fatigue, and good wear and oxidation resistance.
