Stainless Steel 202 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless alloy that contains roughly 17–19% chromium, 4–6% nickel, 7.5–10% manganese, along with trace amounts of silicon, carbon (≤ 0.15%), phosphorus, sulfur, and nitrogen. This unique composition gives it impressive strength and decent corrosion resistance. It boasts a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of around 275 MPa, and an elongation of approximately 40%. The alloy also maintains good ductility, hardness, and toughness, making it a great choice for forming, machining, and general fabrication tasks under moderate conditions.
