17-7 PH stainless steel has around 17% chromium, 7% nickel, 1% aluminum, and trace amounts of carbon and manganese. Following heat treatment, it develops tensile strengths in excess of 1400 MPa and yield strength of approximately 1200 MPa. It has high strength coupled with moderate ductility and satisfactory corrosion resistance similar to that of 304 in most environments, which makes it suitable for structural and mechanical use.
