Adam Stainless, a top-notch manufacturer and supplier located in Canberra, Australia, proudly offers high-quality AWS Class E308/308H-16 Electrodes that are engineered for exceptional welding performance and reliability. These electrodes are specially crafted for joining and overlaying austenitic stainless steels, providing outstanding corrosion resistance, impressive high-temperature strength, and a smooth weld bead finish. Thanks to cutting-edge manufacturing technology and rigorous quality control, Adam Stainless guarantees consistent arc stability and minimal spatter. Their AWS Class E308/308H-16 Electrodes are trusted by various industries for critical welding tasks that require durability, precision, and long-lasting performance, even in tough environments.
The AWS Class E308/308H-16 Electrodes are primarily made of iron, chromium (around 18–21%), and nickel (9–11%), with a carefully controlled carbon content. The E308 variant is designed with low carbon to reduce carbide precipitation, while the E308H grade features higher carbon for improved creep resistance at elevated temperatures. These electrodes boast excellent tensile strength, typically around 550 MPa, along with good elongation and impact toughness. Their mechanical properties ensure strong, ductile welds that resist oxidation, scaling, and intergranular corrosion in both high-temperature and corrosive settings.
