The Stainless Steel 317L Coils from Adam Stainless are made from a low-carbon, molybdenum-rich austenitic stainless steel alloy, featuring about 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum. The reduced carbon content boosts resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding, while the molybdenum enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly in environments rich in chlorides. These coils boast a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa, along with excellent formability and weldability. Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A240 standards, they come in both hot-rolled and cold-rolled finishes.
