Stainless Steel 446 Coils are a type of ferritic stainless steel, primarily made up of iron, 17–18% chromium, along with small amounts of carbon, manganese, and silicon, which together provide remarkable oxidation and corrosion resistance. These coils boast high tensile strength, typically around 550 MPa, with a yield strength of 300 MPa, and can maintain hardness levels up to 190 HB. Thanks to their ferritic structure, they experience minimal thermal expansion, outstanding dimensional stability at high temperatures, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. This makes them perfect for high-temperature applications while also ensuring excellent weldability and formability, which guarantees durability and performance in challenging industrial settings.
